Please could there be some after school homework clubs which will improve on childrens performance and SAT results.

Thank you for your question. SATs revision clubs are due to start shortly. We timetable revision and homework opportunities such as SATs revision clubs and Easter School (where children focus on SATs and secondary school preparation) in the Spring term. We also run an empowerment group for year 6 on a Monday which supports learning and progress and has been running for over a year. If anyone is interested in opportunities/wants to discuss further, please contact Mrs McMullen.

Cooking is indeed a fun part of our curriculum at Harehills and much of our cooking opportunities come through topic work for example, when we made Greek salad in year 5 and when the reception children made turnip soup! Year 6 were also lucky enough to take part in Jamie's food revolution day last month which proved to be an amazing experience! In addition to the fun opportunities for cooking across the curriculum, we are also considering other opportunities for cooking for example, school council have recently requested the development of a cooking club so watch this space!
