Job Overview

Harehills Primary School is a diverse, multi cultural inner city school with outstanding leadership. We are seeking to appoint two motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff. The role is specifically to support SEND children in the Early Years & KS1.You will support children’s learning in class and running interventions and supporting with the completion of paperwork such as observations which contribute to the funding process. You will work alongside the teacher, SENCO and other agencies when appropriate. Giving support access to learning for pupils and provide general support in the management and care of pupils and learning environment. The contract is temporary in the first instance to August 2023 with a potential to extend, this role is attached to specific funding.

Get Into Teaching

The Yorkshire Inclusive Teaching School Alliance currently composes over 30 partners, including HEIs, schools, colleges and the Local Authority. In addition to Leeds it spans an area including towns and villages in North and West Yorkshire.

Our Alliance of schools is working in partnership with Bradford College to deliver a year-long, school-based programme of Initial Teacher Training. The programme leads to a PGCE with QTS.

Get into teaching school children

We are training the next generation of outstanding teachers for the Leeds area. We are committed to providing the highest standard of education and we want to recruit student teachers who share the same commitment. Our current cohort of 40 student teachers are training to teach in primary and secondary in both mainstream and special school settings.
