Latest updates - 14th March 2023

It has been a very happy half term so far and I am writing to make you aware of some events coming up as well as some reminders.

Comic Relief Red Nose Day 2023

This year’s Red Nose Day is on Friday 17th March. Friday will be a non-uniform day in school and children can also wear anything that makes them smile/laugh. We ask staff and children to bring in £1 donation for the Comic relief fund which will, ‘help people in the UK and around the world live free from poverty, violence, discrimination. This includes supporting people right now in Ukraine and those fleeing the country.’

GREAT NEWS!

Thanks to your incredible generosity we raised £442 .58 for Martin House Children’s Hospice on World Book Day.

‘Come and Share’ Parent consultations.

For Year 1-6 classes on Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th March teachers will be holding face to face conversations with parents to discuss your child’s attendance and progress. Information about signing up for an appointment will be out early next week. Nursery and F2 consultations will take place on Wednesday 29th March. More information will follow about this in a separate letter.

Parent governor opportunity

We have a vacancy for a parent governor, and I do hope we can interest one of you in joining our governing board. If you are interested in this role and being part of the leadership of our school, please ask for details at the school office. Please note, school breaks up for the Easter holidays on Friday 31st March and we will return to school on Monday 17th April.
