Continued Strike Action - 15th and 16th March 2023
Strike action is again planned for Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March 2023.
The strike is happening because of the continuing national dispute between the unions and the government, and not because of any issues relating to Harehills Primary School. The right to strike is enshrined in law and we hope you will respect the choice of our staff who have taken that difficult decision… no one involved in any form of industrial action does so lightly.
I want to thank all members of the NEU for working with me and my senior leadership team to help plan for the strike day.
Some classes will be open but we will need to close others. Parents/Carers will be informed nearer the time whether their chil'd class is open or closed. If you have any queries, please contact the school office.
School will be fully open on Friday 17th March, when we will also be celebrating Red Nose Day.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office on 0113 2350 539.
If your child is at home on the strike day, please encourage them to read. There are lots of suggestions for activities your child can do to keep them active and busy on our Learning at home page which you will find under the Families tab tab on this website.
