The perfect end to the year 😊

This week started with school sweltering in the heatwave, and we had to make the decision to close after lunch to keep everyone safe and cool. The sensible way our children dealt with the high temperatures was so impressive and the support given by families was very much appreciated.

Faced with the challenges this loss of time created, the Year 6 team pulled off a miracle and put on a wonderful end of year performance for parents, staff, and children. It is fitting that I pay tribute to our amazing Year 6 children who have coped with so much and yet shown the resilience and determination needed to achieve the successes they have done throughout this school year.

Having entertained us with their version of 'Gangsta Granny' they finished by singing their hearts out to 'Cover me with sunshine', 'Hall of fame' and 'A million dreams'. The smiles on their faces lit up the room!🙂 We could not ask for a better year group.

Class of 2022 I am so proud of you - you deserve to succeed in whatever you choose to do. We will miss you all.

For the rest of our HPS family, I hope you have a happy summer break. Enjoy this time with your families and friends.

We will see you back on Wednesday 7th September ready to start a new year 'learning, laughing, and loving.'
