Hope, peace, joy and love

We began last week by officially launching Christmas at Harehills Primary by decorating the Christmas tree and switching on the lights.I talked about Advent and its importance for Christian people. We lit the first candle on our advent wreath which signifies hope and took time to reflect on the other four candles and how important peace, joy, love and light are in our world.

On Thursday, 14 children from the 'Voices of Harehills' choir and Nurture class went to the Tesco supermarket in Seacroft and sang their hearts out by singing a medley of Christmas favourites. The shoppers absolutely loved it and the children raised an amazing £428! Another little bit of magic that makes such a difference to people at this time of year.🙂👏

This week we are looking forward to our youngest children performing their Christmas play, "Hey ewe". I am sure everyone will keep on sparkling right to the end of another very busy week! 🎄✨
