Having fun right across the curriculum
Last week was full of fun and creativity with children learning is so many different ways. Ashton 1 and 2 told the story of Noah's ark in their assembly using a mixture of song and Talk4Writing story telling. They explained the importance of being resilient in life. Mr Matthews and Mrs Marshall put together some exciting Maths challenges which all year groups participated in on World Maths Day.
The week ended on a real high, when amidst the snow, our talented staff acted out the story of "The Jolly Postman" reminding us all of how much enjoyment we can have from quality books. It was great to see our children and staff dressing up to represent the books they have been learning about all week. Any opportunity to read should be seized to help widen our experiences and develop our imaginations.
School lunches served up a Roald Dahl theme menu on Friday which was the 'icing on the cake'!
