Time to Talk 💬

We all know it's good to talk and there are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health - you don’t have to be an expert to talk. Time to Talk Day 2022 took place on Thursday 3rd February, and this is a day when everyone is encouraged to have a conversation about mental health. In classrooms across school staff had planned activities to encourage children to talk.

However, our annual Wellbeing Week Harehills Primary School is fast approaching, and classes may also spend some time on some 'time to talk' aspects during the week. Indeed, there is no limit; teachers know that they can take some 'time to talk' and use the resources with their classes whenever you see fit!

Our children recognise what a difference just a few words of kindness can make to how people feel.

On our school website under the Pupils Voice tab, you will find our Anti-Bullying page and a very uplifting video. During Anti-bullying week in November 2021, all classes spent time thinking of 'one kind word' that they could say to someone to make them feel cared for. Thanks go to Miss Melling who is one of our PSHE leaders and Mr Hall our ICT Manager for creating something very special 😊🎬👏👏

I guarantee you will be smiling after watching it 😁
