Who's in charge?

At the beginning of last week we did a photo shoot for our new Head boy and girl and Deputy head boy and girl and I am thrilled with the choice because these four young people really are perfect role models for other children as well as being wonderful ambassadors for Harehills Primary. They join our Leeds Children's Mayor as V.I.Ps who I am sure will enjoy every minute of the opportunities that the role will bring over this year.

On Tuesday at our annual Year 6 dinner it was great to welcome so many Year 6 children and their families to an event which is so special. Year 6 children spoke clearly and confidently about the key skills and qualities that will help them face the challenges of the final year in primary school.

The week ended with takeover day and right across school children had been taking over the roles of our staff team. This is such fun for all involved and definitely a real 'eye-opener' into what responsibilities come with different jobs. I have been lucky to have two young ladies taking on being Headteacher and what a fabulous job they have done ✨👏
