25th January 2016
In fine voice
Forty seven KS2 children and seven staff join the UK's largest children's choir when they took part in Young Voices 2016 at Sheffield Arena on Friday 22nd January. It has been a delight to listen to them practise the wide variety of songs chosen for this year's event. The selection of songs has enabled the children to explore different styles of music and learn fun actions which they have really enjoyed. They may have had a late night but I am sure they will all be in school on Monday morning bursting with stories to tell.
This is a wonderful experience for all involved and extends learning way beyond the school day. Over this half term there have already been many highlights, such as the visit from the Planetarium for Year 5 and the staff version of Goldilocks and the three bears performed for the children in Early Years, which illustrate the breadth and depth of experience that we plan into our curriculum at Harehills Primary.
