Developing as individuals and working together
I have seen so many examples around school this week of children and staff working together effectively. It is so vital that we teach our children how to build relationships and how to work collaboratively. So much happening and here are just a few examples:
Our Netball team demonstrated fantastic team spirit and a true understanding of sportsmanlike behaviour this week. Even though they didn't win their match against Shadwell Primary school they show determination right until the last second and then remained gracious in defeat.
Spotting our Nursery children walking through school and in their P.E lesson I was proud to see how much they have developed personally and socially as they get closer to starting 'big' school in September.
Year 5 children embraced all the activities working with Artis on Thursday and we are excited to see just how much working with this highly creative organisation will help develop our children's speaking and writing skills.
As the Summer term continues to unfold and we begin our transition work in readiness for the next academic year I am sure we will have many, many more opportunities to see evidence of the personal development of our children.
