A week packed full of highlights

We reached the half way point of this half term with a week full of many highlights. There has been trips in abundance: Eden Camp for Year 5; Herd farm for Year 3; Gledhow woods for Year 2 and Roundhay park for Reception. Tuesday we were treated to a fabulous assembly from Elford 1 all about how Harvest is celebrated in different countries. Then on Thursday we received the news that Afsha Shahid was runner up in her bid to be the next Leeds Children's Mayor which is an amazing achievement and I know we are all very proud of her.

The icing on the cake for me has to be staff Mini-Me Yoga training on Wednesday which reminded me of just how enthusiastic our teachers are to embrace anything new. It was a very uplifting occasion and I am delighted to hear about the positive response this has had already.

I have looked in my diary and can see that this week is full of some very special events so watch this space for headlines next week.
