The lunchtime experience
It is no mean feat feeding hundreds of children every day and especially when you opt to seat children, serve 'family service style and keep children all safely in their class bubbles! Mrs Lee, our Deputy Head has put together a plan with military precision which enables 3 sittings in 2 dining halls, alongside packed lunches in class bubble bases to all happen seamlessly whatever the weather. 🌧🌤🌈🌞
Add into the equation 4 different playgrounds which have been zoned for 3 separate classes and you'll get the picture of the enormity of the task 😉
I want to thank Mrs Lee for her strategic creativity that has made this possible as well as Mrs Willshaw, our School Business Manager and Steven Wood, our Estates Manager for working together with her to implement the plan and cover any gaps when staff have been absent.
We have a wonderful team of hardworking staff from Catering Leeds who do a fantastic job to serve up a choice of two hot dishes every day and rustle up grab bags for children who must isolate at very short notice.
Our lunch time supervisors are the final piece of the jigsaw and they are a team of caring individuals who help within the dining hall and encourage children to have fun out in their playground bubbles.
A lot of time and effort goes in to making sure the lunchtime period is a happy and safe experience for all and so this week it's time to recognise what has been achieved 😊ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
