Where there's a will there's a way

The daily challenge for us at the moment is to find a way to do all the things that we value and enjoy but to do them in a way that keeps us safe from catching coronavirus. We have completed week 2 of this half term and wow, what a lot we have embraced! At 11am on Wednesday 11th the whole school observed another powerful and poignant act of remembrance. It might have been done in a Covid friendly way, but it still had that special HPS feel we all love. All week classes engaged in the Children in Need 'Five to Thrive' programme of wellbeing, culminating in 'Feel Good Friday' when children came to school in their 'feel good' clothes 😍. Staff and children took part in the annual Duck race sweepstake and tension was high right across school. It was Flapman and Bobbin that won the race and we all enjoyed the fun.

We have always done our bit as a school to raise money for charity and our children really understand how they can make a difference to people who are less fortunate than they are. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our families who have given to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and to Children in Need.

A massive thank you to our families and our staff for the spirit of giving you have shown 😁👏👏
