Key Stage 2 SATs 2022 - just fantastic 👏

After 3 years of disruption to their education, last week Year 6 children were expected to sit their Statutory Assessment Tests in English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, English Reading and Mathematics. Although I think this is very unfair for so many reasons, as with anything else we do, Harehills Primary put 100% into making the week as happy as possible for all involved, including a special SATs breakfast every day and a well-earned trip to the park on Friday when all the tests were over.

The attitude and desire to succeed that the children showed was most definitely exemplary!👏 We will wait until July to find out their results, knowing that they couldn't have given any more.

I want to thank all those who have helped support our children and our Year 6 staff team throughout the demands and challenges of the week. Our children have amazed and delighted me in so many ways and that is what this is all about.

A big shout out to Mrs McMullen who has masterminded this massive operation to perfection and to the whole Year 6 team. I am so proud of you all for what you have achieved this week. 🤩👏
