Film stars

A film crew, working on behalf of the NSPCC came into school on Wednesday and filmed clips at Breakfast club, on the minibus and in classrooms around school. Sam Willshaw, our Office Manager and I were filmed talking about the importance of Safer Recruitment.
The film director informs me that the "footage looks absolutely stunning" and he and the camera man were very impressed with the behaviour of our children.

The film will be used as part of a training package for Safer Recruitment which will be put on the DfE website. Harehills Primary School is honoured to have been asked to be part of this important resource.

Recruiting the right staff is something that is vital in keeping our children safe and happy and it is our duty to make sure we do it well.

Francais - c'est très bien!

In September Madame Jack started teaching French to the children in Key Stage 2. The children have been really enjoying their lessons and embraced a new challenge. It is rewarding to have children confidently speaking to you in French. I have found myself revisiting my A level French knowledge.
Last Wednesday Madame Jack and Madame Puisseguer fro the Local Authority training the teachers from Key Stage 2 to deliver some fun activities in French to help the children practise the vocabulary they have learnt.

Merci beaucoup et vive la France!!
