Bio
I am Jo Summerfield and I have the privilege of being Head teacher at Harehills Primary School. It is my job to ensure that all children 'learn' and make as much progress as they can. I lead a very talented, experienced and energetic team at Harehills Primary to achieve this by making sure that staff and children 'love' what they are doing and 'laugh' a lot while they are doing it! I am also a School Governor and I work in partnership with our Governors on all aspects of school life. It is very rewarding being part of such a dedicated and enthusiastic group of governors who work tirelessly to make sure every child and their families have the best experience this school can offer. I live in Roundhay with my husband and we have a son who is at a local high school and a daughter who is studying Medicine at Manchester University.
Spending quality time with my family and friends is really important to me. Travelling to new places is what I really enjoy and I love the freedom of sitting on a beach in the sunshine and breathing the sea air.
