Sandhurst 2 - Mr Khan
Hello Sandhurst 2!
It’s Mr Khan here – hope you’re all doing well and staying safe during these strange times.
I’m finding this quite difficult to write this as I am so used to talking to you in person - and as you know, I can talk for a very long time when I get started! I hope you have been keeping yourself busy with your learning packs and applying the skills you have learnt during school in everyday life at home. I know most of you thrive to learn, so this is a perfect opportunity for you to develop some new skills along the way by helping at home with many tasks. A massive well done to all of those who have been using Mathletics and some of the websites handed out to you in the pack. Keep this up!
I’ve been keeping myself busy with all sorts: a bit of cleaning (the loft and shed was a right mess!); setting up activities in the garden to keep Ayaan and myself fit and healthy; making random things from card; painting and playing games such as Uno- I’m still struggling with the 4+ card rule! The experts in my class (you know who you are) may need to teach me these when we get back! You’ll be glad to know that I haven’t got up at ‘silly’ o’clock in the morning though I do miss you guys all giving me the ‘Mrs Boyd point and stare’ gesture when I tell you this!
Use this time to explore new things at home – why don’t you try making something from card - a board game perhaps using old cereal boxes? Try using the skills you have learnt to help with cooking or set up a P.E challenge by measuring distance or time it takes to run a self-made track. Most importantly of all, continue to be the good person you have been taught to be by demonstrating the key values (respect, love, honesty, trust, care, etc.) each and every day!
Over the next few weeks, I will update this blog as frequently as possible to keep you up to date with activities and the things I’ve been up to!
For now, please keep yourself and family safe. Hope to see you soon!
A little bit of fun!
Riddles of the week.
