Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education, RE and PSHE

At Harehills Primary School we believe that focussing on the development of the personal, emotional, health and wellbeing of all our children is vital.  This underpins all academic achievement.

Our ethos of Learn, laugh and love is built upon these principles.

How do we promote the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our pupils?

SMSC is developed in all subjects and lots of aspects of school life.

Our school Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) & Citizenship curriculum - You, Me, PSHE - aims to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and prepare all pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life as future citizens. As a Healthy School, we believe that PSHE is vital for pupils to learn how to keep safe and healthy in an everchanging world. Our progressive PSHE curriculum is relevant to the lives that children live today and prepares them for the future.
