HPS becomes a Music Mark School for 2020-21
As we start the new academic year, we are delighted to receive news from the Leeds Music Education Partnership (LMEP) that we have been nominated to become a Music Mark school for 2020/21. This award pays recognition to the high value placed on Music in the broad and balanced curriculum offered at Harehills Primary School. We continue to offer a variety of musical experiences for our children which they love and show great enthusiasm for. The new Christmas performance ‘Hey Ewe!’ was a big hit and featured some ‘star’ Year 2 performers. The ‘Voices of Harehills’ Choir has gone from strength to strength and had a fantastic trip to Sheffield Arena in January to take part once again in the ‘Young Voices’ event. We were wowed by a performance by the Year 4 Ukulele’s in Assembly.
The Music Mark award brings many benefits to our school and the music provision we can offer including free resources on the Music Mark Website and access to Music Mark events. This will help us continue to deliver high-quality musical and social outcomes for all our children.
