Harehills Primary recognised as a leading school for PE in Leeds
It gives me great pleasure to have been invited to provide a workshop for Leeds Secondary School's PE Conference on the 16th June providing teachers of PE in high schools information on the KS2 curriculum and transitions. On top of our nomination from Leeds Active Schools for 'Whole School Improvement' Harehills is being recognised as a leading school for PE in Leeds. Whilst personally I gives me a lot of pride, I'd like to thank the staff and children alike, who are the ones ultimately responsible for this.
Another piece of positive news has seen our very own Mrs Summerfield receiving recognition for her devotion to PE, and physical activity. Gail Palmer-Smeaton, the Operational Lead for Leeds Active School has nominated Mrs Summerfield as a Head Teacher Ambassador to champion Physical Activity, PE, and Sport to other Head Teacher Colleagues within our local family of schools. Again, I'm delighted that Harehills is being externally recognised for the work it is doing.
