A week packed full of events 🌳🎨✍✨👏
The final week of this term has been packed full of so many things to celebrate and has been the perfect way to end such a busy term. The Art exhibition at Shine showcasing our children's artwork is wonderful, and I know staff have popped down with the children to see it. I visited with our Chair of Governors Julia Shemilt and she was full of praise for the children. Planting a tree for the jubilee is also something that has really inspired the children and I have loved going into assemblies wrapped in the union jack flag and wearing a crown - a big talking point for everyone. Each year group has planted a different indigenous tree to mark the queen's platinum jubilee. It will be great to watch the trees grow and see how they change from season to season.
On Tuesday I attended the Arooj Creative Writing celebration and The Year 6 children who were the presenters for the event were incredible. They were so confident and such fantastic ambassadors for HPS, as were those who went to Herd Farm to plant a tree for the jubilee. Add into the mix Mock SATs and the lesson visits which just re-affirmed for SLT the high quality education that staff deliver day to day and I think everyone deserves a huge pat on the back for all you have achieved in just 5 weeks!
I do hope staff, children and families can take time to reflect on the part you play in making our school the happy, exciting place it is. 😁
Time for a very well-deserved Easter holiday. Rest and relax everyone 🐰
