The perfect start to 2017
Happy New Year to all our families and to all the friends of Harehills Primary school. We had a very happy, calm and purposeful start to 2017 and the new school term.
Staff returned full of energy and enthusiasm on Tuesday and spent time looking at the progress all children have made in Maths, Reading and Writing, since starting their current year groups. There is much to celebrate and when the children came back to school on Wednesday, they were straight back to learning. It was wonderful to pop into all the classrooms and see smiling faces, immersed in their lessons. Year groups are being introduced to exciting new themes and it certainly got me asking lots of questions:
Where is Harehilliem? Who left the oven on? and Are we alone?
Nursery started their theme of "Paws and claws" by coming dressed up as different animals and had the opportunity to have their faces painted and I have seen some fantastic picture on our website in the class blogs section.
Definitely a fun and inspirational start and I can't wait to see what exciting activities happen next!
