Collaboration at its best
There have been so many opportunities to showcase what we do at Harehills Primary this week and our visitors have without exception been impressed by what they have seen.
"Wow, wow, wow" was the reaction from one of the visitors from Belgium and the consensus of the group was much the same. We hosted 15 EU visitors who are all part of an Erasmus project looking at ways to integrate vulnerable children into school. There were representatives from, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Morocco and the UK. Mrs Lee our Deputy Headteacher and myself were lucky to visit Parkinson Lane Community School in Halifax who are the lead school in the UK for this work. We saw some wonderful examples of how European values can be incorporated into an Arts based curriculum. I am excited by what will come of this enquiry and thrilled with the links we have made with other schools across Europe.
Our Ensign alliance colleagues who visited Year 3 and 4 classes on Tuesday gave incredibly positive feedback about what they had seen. The behaviour of our children was once again exemplary and attitudes to learning spot on!
All of our leadership team felt incredibly proud of what we were able to share on both occasions and every member of our staff team needs to take credit for what we offer our children and families. Sometimes we forget how high the expectations are at Harehills Primary School and our practice is something that should be celebrated.😊
