Look what we know
It's no mean feat attempting an assembly where 90 Reception class children get the opportunity to perform, but that's exactly what our Ashton team did last week. They delighted the audience with their snapshot into what learning looks like in our Reception classes. Children spoke confidently about animal life cycles, including using hand free microphones which isn't always easy! The whole year group entertained us with songs and pictures of learning taken from their classrooms. There was an overwhelming sense of enjoyment and the knowledge, skills and understanding that the children displayed was very impressive. The energy of a 4 or 5 year old is infectious and we all left the hall with big smiles on our faces and "chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken" ringing in our ears! 🙂
Year group snapshot into learning assemblies have been an amazing insight into the high quality education right across school and I look forward to seeing what Year 1 and Year 2 will share when it comes to their turn.
