Supporting workload and wellbeingπŸ’»πŸ’ΌπŸ‘©‍πŸ’ΌπŸ‘¨‍πŸ’Όβ˜•

Last week was another very busy, productive week and a reminder of how important it is to monitor staff's workload and wellbeing.

Members of our Senior Leadership Team had undertaken environment walks, and at our weekly meeting we discussed the high quality, stimulating environments that have been created in school. It is no wonder why our children want to learn, and you can feel the buzz and eagerness everywhere you go. There is a great deal of planning and hard work that goes behind this and it is important that we recognise this πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ‘

On Wednesday at our teacher professional development meeting, we spent time evaluating all the actions that we as a school have taken to address teacher workload. It was wonderful to listen to staff talk about the difference things have made and we noted 'even better ifs'. The areas we have focused on have been: Planning; Marking and Feedback; and Working Walls and environments.

We finished the meeting by discussing all the ideas that staff had put forward that would support their wellbeing and it was fantastic to see how many have been planned into the school calendar.

It's been a tough time for all of us working in education during a worldwide pandemic and vital that we remain committed to finding ways to reduce unneccessay workload and enhance everyone's wellbeing.😊
