Children at the heart of everything we do
If you asked the question, "What's it like to be a child at Harehills Primary School?" then last week would have given you the answer.
The whole week was a real celebration of the quality of education we provide and our ethos built around learn, laugh, love shone thorough everything. SLT carried out lesson observations in every year group, whilst Anne Fell our School Improvement Advisor and Peter Marsh an Ofsted Inspector undertook a variety of activities, including conversations with children and staff. Everyone was very impressed by all that they saw.
The comments that our Year 6 children made and a group of teachers about our school were heart-warming and echo the caring school that we have worked so hard to create.
The word 'proud' came out over and over again and Anne commented on the overwhelming positivity from children and staff. "They love your school," she said.
The children are at the centre of everything and the staff are not far behind' one teacher said which is what SLT try desperately to achieve.
And the best thing about last week is that I know that this is what happens every week.
