I love my life
I listened to our Year 6 children sing their hearts out to Robbie William's "I love my life" and the smiles on their faces said it all. On Tuesday they had seen their SATs results and every single one of them had done themselves proud. Then on Friday they performed their leavers performance for parents, staff and year 5 children. At the end of the show I asked them whether there was anything they couldn't do!
Mrs Mann, Miss Shaw and Miss Vickerman had written a highly entertaining show entitled, "Harry Potter and the vanishing teachers". I was just blown away by how they had managed to give 91 children the opportunity to showcase their talents. What was so important was how the children's personalities shone through. We were taken on a journey through a world of fantasy for almost 2 hours and into the magic of Harehills School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
I loved every moment of it as did the children and it served to remind us of how important it is to allow children opportunities to be creative. Including acting, music, dance, sport, comedy, debating this show had everything.
Congratulations to all those who took part and thank you to all those who helped behind the scenes to produce such a spectacle; sheer magic 😊
