Hello Sandhurst 3!

This week has been very different as I have made phone calls to many of your families and I have really enjoyed talking to many of you on the phone. I am so happy that you are all being safe and staying in your homes. It has been lovely to hear your voices. Hopefully it won’t be too long until I see your faces too!

This week, you should all have received a new learning pack full of exciting learning activities! You will find maths, writing, spellings, reading, theme and much more. Lots of you have told me how much learning you have done already on your work packs and online. It is important to keep your day structured and doing some learning will help you to do that. Keep going and making sure you do some of your learning pack each day. I know you will enjoy exploring our new theme about the Ancient Maya Civilisation. I would like to see some models of Maya temples that you have made (template is in your pack).

If you are unsure about anything or just want to ask me a question then you can do on our year group email address which is sandhursts@harehills.leeds.sch.uk.You might even want to email me with an update on your learning.

I know lots of you will be missing your friends and we now have a new feature on the website called the ‘shout out’ wall where you can leave a message for your friends. Lots of staff and children have already written a message on there. I am looking forward to seeing yours! Simply send your message to hello@harehills.leeds.sch.uk Remember to include your name and class.

This would not be a proper blog post without a Jeremy update. You will not be surprised to hear that he has spent most of the week outside. He has done lots of sunbathing and bird chasing. He has also been bossing around the other cats on the street! He thinks he is the king cat! They weren’t pleased.

Well done for getting through another week of not being at school. Keep staying at home and staying safe!
