This half term in Nursery we are learning about thing's that grow. A few weeks ago we had a special visit from Steven the Gardener. He talked to us about how to plant and grow seeds and how to look after our plants. He then gave us some equipment and tools and the children have been busy planting.

Today we had a fun filled morning of Christmas crafts in Nursery. Our Parents came in to engage in lots of different activities with the children such as biscuit decorating, clay ornaments, card making and paper chain crafts.
The children are settling in well in Nursery. They have been enjoying making friend's and exploring their new environment. We have been learning about the rules and routines at school. We are really pleased with how well our new Nursery children have settled in.
We have been learning about our routines in Nursery, our new friends and teachers.
This week we have been learning all about number 1 and the children have really enjoyed singing our favourite song, 'one little finger', and going on number hunts around the classroom.
On Friday 9th June the children in Nursery celebrated International Dough Disco day!
We spent the day doing lots of activities to make our fingers strong to help us to become good writers. We then finished off with a disco.
We also made playdough to sell for charity.
The Nursery children raised £50 for the Spread the Happiness charity!!

This week Nursery are running wild!
To launch our new topic 'Paws and Claws' Nursery began this half term with a dressing up fun day. The children came to school dressed as their favorite animal. We also had a variety of face painting and wild activities.

This term in Nursery we are focusing on keeping safe. We have had some special visits from people who help us such as the Lollipop Lady, Road Safety team and a local Police Lady.
